Comment: When I first received this unit it came up with an error when trying to configure a network address, this has not been resolved but if you ignore it the internet features do work. My unit started experiencing a video problem after about 1 month of owning it. I have now owned the unit for 10 months and I am still battling with Philips to get it repaired. The fault is intermittent but does occur reasonable often, the HDMI video output goes dead, the only way to get it back is to turn the unit off and on.
Philips have tried to blame everything from the HDMI cable to the TV and I have been forced to buy new cables and use another TV to prove the fault is with the BDP3000.
Philips are now saying I have to go back to Amazon to get it replaced, they are unable to send a service agent out to repair it!
It's been a while since I have experienced such bad service, I certainly won't be buying Philips products again.

Comment: im on my 4th player ,all had faults.the latest seems to be a big problem with this player.the picture keeps dropn out for 3 to 5 secons every few minutes.iv emaild philips 17 times and got no response.aprently they could fix the problem with yet another update but they just dont care.NEVER BUYING PHILIPS AGAIN

Comment: Do not buy this player if you want a good care-free life. I will never, never buy another Phillips Disk Player or Television. They are frustrating to use. The on-line instruction books are difficulte to follow and expensive if you want to print them. If you expect the Player to cope with all DVDs then you are in for a rude awakening. I have a number of BBC DVDs the Phillips Player will not initiate, but my good old Tesco "budget" player works first time every time.

Summary: Beware of Phillips Warranty!
Comment: After reading so many positive reviews about the BDP3000 - I saved up my pennies and bought one. 3 months in the disc drawer stuck and I contact Phillips to get it repaired. They said that as I had purchased this item from an Internet supplier rather than an authorised Phillips Dealer they only offered 3 months warranty FROM DATE OF MANUFACTURE.
So, Im now stuck watching the same disc over and over again as I can't change it.
Will not be purchasing one of their products again!
