Summary: Tricky to use & poor quality
Comment: I bought this to transfer video from Camcorder to Disc via Windows 7 (64 bit) Laptop.
Initially there was a problem getting the audio drivers to work. The suppplier was very quick to respond with updated drivers and advise. Once resolved I downloaded a short clip but was disapointed with the video quality. The enclosed instruction,typically, offer no assistance.
I have now come to use it for the second time to find that 'no video input can be detected' I really can't be bothered arguing with a call centre to get this returned given the reatively low price.
While the old adage of 'you get what you pay for" may be true, I wish I'd paid for something else.
If you're very technically minded this may be worth a go - but somehow I doubt it.

Summary: advice for your sound problems!
Comment: the reason why your having problems with the xbox360 or ps3 is because with the other consoles and stuff, you use it normally with the plugs connected to the tv, but whith xbox 360 or ps3, you need to unplug the white cable of the extendener used for the for your ezcap (the extendener which you use to get sound is the white one) and then plug in your white cable from your ps3 or xbox360 in to the ezcap white slot and then PRESTO problem SOLVED!!!, but if you didnt understand read again and heres some hints to help you understand better, white plug apart of your excap, whit plug part of your ps3 which is the cable. i dont have an ezcap but i know this from experience because i used one before a couple of times and i found out that problem when a friend came round and wanted to do a game play on my ps3 and it didnt work so i though that up and we tried and it worked!

Comment: Read other reviews and assumed I would not have similar problems but guess what? I had them all!
Despite being sold as suitable for Windows 7 it did not work with supplied drivers.
After emailing support I was given the option to download drivers from website.
Once these were installed I couldn't use the software as it was flagged as being trial software only and that I would need to spend 99 dollars(!) to convert it to the real thing.
Another email to the seller told me that this was incorrect and to reinstall the software.... it worked. But the ezcap only worked for 40 minutes before giving up the ghost.
It was returned to seller and swiftly replaced. I couldn't face more frustration for a week so it sat in its box until this morning and it worked first time.
However jury is still out because I have not tried to use it for longer than 20 minutes in its little life so far. If it works for a whole year I would give it 5 stars as it is very easy to use ... but only if it works!!!

Comment: I think this is a fantastic product. I needed a solution to storing some old home movies on video.
I installed the software and drivers from the disk. I plugged in the device and used a scart adapter to my video player. I went on windows update and an updated driver existed for the sound capture.
I ran the software and ran capture video, making sure the audio option was also ticked and left the video running. I repeated capture video with several movies.
Then came the editing. I found the software very useful. It allowed film to be both cut into smaller files and combined into larger files easily. It allowed the film to be output to many different formats and many different qualities for size considerations. It made emailable versions of my films very quickly. The final movie quality was impressive considering the source material. The power of the software surprised me and I looked it up on the internet. It appears to be a very good product on its own.
After a single afternoon my home movies had been backed up and re edited. I had also emailed low quality versions to those in the films. I can now charity shop my video recorder.
